FAVORITE MORPHE PRODUCTS

I think only year ago I started to look out for Morphe products as I clearly saw amazing reviews about brand's brushes and eyeshadow palettes. After trying some stuff for a while, I can say that some of them definitely are statement products in my everyday makeup bag. In this post I wanted to share my thoughts about products I have and why I love them.

When I started to play with makeup I had only cheap brushes from ebay and and to be honest I didn't care about quality which is so bad because good brushes are the basics for desired makeup application. Recently I've been interested in Morphe brushes especially  and brushes in the pictures above are my favorites in my kit.

FACE BRUSHES:
  • Y6 flat buffer brush. I love this foundation brush, it is so easy and quick to buff in foundation for smooth finish with amazing coverage.
  • Y10 mini contour brush. This brush is for intense contour that can be used in small areas like nose and under lower lip as well. Even though this brush is smaller than typical contour brushes it still blends contour perfectly without leaving any patches.
Both brushes have synthetic bristles and work well with creams and powders.

EYESHADOW BRUSHES:
  • M441 blending crease brush. Amazing brush for blending out shadows and effortless transition between colors.
  • M433 tapered crease brush. Another blending brush for shading and blending.
  • E17 precise crease brush. If I use this brush for eyes, I love to intensify shadows in crease with it or blend multiple transition colors together. This brush is also incredible for badass nose contour.
  • M421 mini concealer brush. This little brush is my favorite brush ever because it is multi-purpose brush that's perfect for packing on shimmer shadows, creating cut crease and highlighting brow bone and eye inner corner.
JACLYN HILL X MORPHE PALETTE

I got this palette from my friend and I didn't think I needed it until I got it and used it. Every shadow blends like a dream, shimmer shades are so pretty and pigmented. I swatched my favorite shades down below.
Some of my looks with this palette:
35U PALETTE
I like to express my creativity with this multi color shimmer palette because the shades are pigmented, easy to blend and longlasting. My favorite rows definitely are one in the middle (blue to green) and last one (purple to white).

Some of my looks with this palette:
 35O PALETTE
I didn't know if I should mention this palette in my favorites because it's classy neutral eyeshadow palette. Don't get me wrong I am obsessed with brown shades and good smokey eye look is one of my favorites to do but talking about neutral palettes - if I had a palette like 35O in smaller and more compact version, it would be my most favorite neutral palette. I just don't need that much similar shades.
I decided to add this palette to my favorites anyway because this palette has beautiful shades, AMAZING quality for affordable price and I enjoy using it from time to time. If you only use neutral shades or work with lots of clients it will be a dream palette 100%.

LASHES 'HEARTBREAKER'
These lashes are the best I've ever tried. I love lash style that is dramatic but not too thick therefore you can still see eye shadows through them.

I can definitely say that Morphe is one of my favorite makeup brands because you can experience such a good quality for affordable price. With recent re branding, Morphe came out with amazing new products and I hope I'll have a chance to try some of them soon.
What do you think about Morphe? Do you have any favorites from the brand?

COMPLEXION MAKEUP

I wanted to share a post about drugstore face makeup that I've been using these past weeks. Every time I checked social media, I saw good (or bad) review about at least one of these products so I really wanted to try them myself and see how they work for my skin. Finally I got a chance to sit down and write my thoughts about the products.

First step - primer. Lately I've been so obsessed with pipette-applicator packaging and when I saw this primer from Catrice Cosmetics I wanted to buy it immediately. I was a little bit unsure about shimmering primer as my skin tends to get shiny. I was afraid of greasy finish but when I apply this primer it dries down. It's so beautiful on its own, it would be perfect on just bare skin for summer. If you don't use makeup daily, it would be so pretty on the entire face or cheeks and also on the shoulders and collarbones.

When it comes to foundation, it's so hard for me to find the right type and shade (f.e., look at the difference between matte foundation and other one, haha) of foundation that would look good on my skin. Last month I heard about this LA Girl Pro Matte foundation and wanted to try it as it promises matte and buildable coverage. I chose the shade 'beige' and it matched my skin tone perfectly. For me, the foundation looks better if applied with sponge.

Recently, I got another foundation that I wanted to try for a long time. It's HD Liquid Coverage foundation from Catrice Cosmetics and oh wow, it's one of the best foundations I've ever tried. I feel like it may be my new favorite drugstore foundation. It's long-lasting and mattifying so you don't even need to set it with powder if you don't like powdery finish, you can layer this foundation to get full coverage but it won't feel heavy and greasy.

Concealer. I bought Liquid Camouflage concealer (also from Catrice Cosmetics) as it's one of the best I've ever tried. It has such a good coverage and brightens my under eye very well. Only bad thing about this product is that it oxidizes a little bit on my skin but I chose the lightest shade so it looks good anyway.

Setting powder. The best powder that actually sets my makeup and keeps my skin matte for longer - RCMA No Color Powder. I've heard lots of things about it and finally got to try it. My skin looks smooth, makeup lasts longer and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. This is the only powder that works for me and keeps my skin matte for longer than hour or two.
I am impressed with the quality, size and price of the powder!

Another powder that I love - matte bronzer. I bought NYX Matte Bronzer in the shade 'deep' which suits my skin tone very well. It's not too orange nor too mudy. It's super pigmented and blends like a dream!

I had no problems combining these products together as they only complimented each other and didn't cause me any problems. Perfect combo for achieving full coverage good-looking skin!
I am very happy with the amazing quality of each product (especially because every product is affordable).

NEW IN: SKINCARE & MAKEUP

Hello there! It's already February and only now I share my first post of the 2018. January was quite relaxing, I took my time off of everything and just spent my time with sister and rest of the family. Even though, I loved doing nothing and just chill, I really missed taking pictures, create makeup looks and just focus on the things I love. Before any style or makeup posts, I want to share some of my new skincare & makeup products.

I always wanted to try Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit line as it helps to clear the skin. I am not sure how I feel about face wash yet but I really love moisturizer as it keeps my skin hydrated and soft.

My sister gave me to try this Cleansing Oil from The Body Shop and I really love it. It's so much easier to take my makeup off with this oil and with the help of Neutrogena Hydra Boost cleanser, my skin gets clean and soft.

My every night obsession! As I discovered The Body Shop face massager, I can't stop using it. I love how my skin feels afterwards - plump and fresh. I love to use it with different kind of oils, depending on the mood.

Now about new makeup! Few weeks ago I started to use these primers and fixing mist from L'Oreal. I love to use these products. Primers keep my skin smooth as a perfect base for foundation and fixing mist sets my makeup pretty good.

My two favorite face palettes right now - Highlighting palette from L'Oreal and Contour palette from Makeup Revolution. Both are super pigmented and so easy to use. Perfect for everyday!
Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette. It contains matte and shimmery shades, excellent for day and night.

My favorite makeup product of the year already (I am sure I won't change my mind until the end of the year, haha!). Galaxy palette from Fenty Beauty. I will definitely make another post about this palette.

Another TOP favorite is this set of nude lipsticks from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. I am such a nude lipstick lover and when I saw this set on instagram, I was obsessed. I wanted to try JSC lipsticks for a long time and now when I have these, I can't get enough. I use these lipsticks everyday and my most favorite shade is 'Celebrity Skin'.

After writing this post, I can't wait to create makeup looks using these products, especially eyeshadow palettes. I'm in the mood for Valentines day inspired makeup so can't wait to play with this makeup!

RECENT FAVORITE THINGS

I thought I could share some recent favorites from all kind of categories. First thing and I think the most important is bullet journaling. I have been trying this kind of planning for a few months and I enjoy how creative I can be at the same time when I plan my stuff. It helps me to stay motivated. I already started to set up my bullet journal for the next year and I can't wait to use it and share pictures of designs, layouts, etc.

Other important thing - I got new phone since my previous one was full of errors (no service) and out of space. The best part about getting new phone is better quality of camera which helps me to take amazing pictures of products and makeup for blog and instagram. I love the 'portrait' mode the most - it focuses on the product and makes the background blurry. Pictures turn out better than with my old but loved Canon camera.

Lately I am into DIY, details and interior changes. I wish I could change more things in our apartment (like painting the walls or having shelves) but that's not allowed so I can only focus on particular furniture and decors. For some time I was thinking about organizing desk, create it more personal and stylish to keep me motivated. I found some awesome DIYs on pinterest and can't wait to design that little space in our home where I would enjoy planning, drawing and working. It would be also a perfect spot for capturing bullet journal designs.

These are some of my favorite makeup products and I use them almost everyday. Every product is from drugstore and I love how affordable yet amazing these products are. NYX Tame&Frame is my favorite brow product at the moment and gold glitter liner is perfect for upcoming holidays. This Sun Powder became my favorite bronzer for now because it is the most perfect shade for me (not too dark or orange), pigmented and blends very well.
Only thing that is not from drugstore is this MAC foundation. I bought it only for 1 euro which seems very funny but that's because I won coupon code from local luxury store. I finally got to try it and I love it!

Of course this post must contain food or desserts. Smoothie is my favorite option for quick snack or breakfast. It takes small amount of time and gives you the most delicious and healthy drink as it's the only successful way to add loads of spinach, chia seeds, nuts etc to my nutrition.

And the sweets.. I can't wait for official holiday season so I can eat gingerbread cookies all the time, haha. I am always so excited when I see our buy these, my favorite Christmas dessert/snack.

UPDATED SKINCARE ROUTINE

Welcome back here! In July I wrote about my skincare favorites and now they've changed a bit. This time I want to share more detailed routine with products I use regularly.
I have combination skin and lately my skin has been changing a lot and I've been treating it with more care therefore I have been using more products to get rid of the oily shine.
I want to share with you my favorite products that I use at the moment.

M O R N I N G.
STEP 1: In the morning I wash my face with L'oreal Pure Clay Purifying Gel Wash, it claims to cleanse and get rid of  impurities and excess oil. I've been using it only for a few days and I already love how my skin feels after it.
STEP 2: I use these two toners only when I do my makeup. Before applying base products, I clean my face with Mixa Purifying Lotion to get rid of extra shine, it also reduces spots so I get a little treatment before makeup. I love this lotion as it does what it is supposted to do.
STEP 3: While doing my makeup, I use Nivea Refreshing Toner. Actually, I use it only as a beauty hack I saw all over the internet. This toner works as a dupe for Mac Fix+ as these two are water based products with similar ingredients such as glycerin and hydrogenated caster oil. I spray it on the brush before applying shimmer shadows for more vibrant effect, spray it on the face after setting a powder so the powder sets into the skin and the finish is less "cakey". And I love how it works!

E V E N I N G
STEP 1: Of course the most important thing is to take the makeup and the dirt off of your face after a long day. When I have too much makeup on, I don't skip this step and start to clean my face with Garnier Micellar Water. (But not everytime, haha.) Then I continue to clean my face with water and Garnier Micellar Gel Wash, it takes my makeup off gently and easily. I also use small damp towel to clean my face and make sure my hairline and neck are clean as well. This is the part when my makeup is gone and my face is clean.
STEP 2: I continue to wash my face with water and L'oreal Pure Clay Purifying Gel Wash (as I mentioned it before.)

STEP 3: Next I use one of these The Ordinary products. I use Hyaluronic Acid when I want to hydrate my skin a little bit, and after this skin feels smoother, softer and healthier. Sometimes I use Azelaic Acid to improve visible brightness and the appearance of skin texture. Then I masage my skin with roller, I love to do this because this process relaxes facial muscles (which helps prevent wrinkles), stimulates blood flow (read: brightens your complexion), softens sebum (which helps cleanse the skin of impurities and helps absorb the product I apply before a massage.)

WHEN MY SKIN BREAKS OUT: I use one of the NIP+FAB pads before bed. NIP+FAB Glycolic pads exfoliate skin, help to fade discolouration, reduce blemishes and removes dead cells and toxins. When I have blemishes, I use The Ordinary Salicylic Acid directly over blemishes because it is a perfect daily treatment - Salicylic Acid clears and clarifies the complexion.

WHEN I HAVE TIME: I love this Beauty Formulas Charcoal Clay mask. At first, I thought my skin broke out because of the mask but there was another reason for that. Then I used it a few more times again and I absolutely enjoyed it - my skin feels clean, fresh and less oily.

For now this routine works pretty good and I am very satisfied. Have you tried any of these products?

CRUSHED VELVET

Another post about new shoes obsession. I've been wanting these for a long time, my sister got me these from Public Desire and I am so happy with them. They are comfortable and crushed velvet material gives to the outfit a perfect accent.

WHITE SNEAKERS

Lately I haven't posted that much, had lots of thoughts about life, motivation and all the other things. Lately I felt very empty. I don't know why or how long it will be that way. I am trying to find inspiration in everyday things and motivation is slowly coming back. Therefore, the best way to get over negativity is buying something fresh. As you know, new stuff makes people happy and excited. I bought these sneakers and was so happy because I bought something I wouldn't buy few months or years ago. That's why I am so obsessed with them.

Even though it's the small things, it is cool to get out of that little comfort zone and do something fun. I have lots of ideas how to style these, so I can't wait to have fun!

NEW MAKEUP

Few weeks ago I got this wonderful package from NYX Cosmetics. I was thrilled to try new products and when I tried some I was thrilled even more because of pigmentation, quality and colors. My favorites definitely were these two eye shadow palettes that are perfect for everyday and night looks. I also fell in love with new eye pencils in pastel colors, super pigmented and last for long. I feel like NYX never disappoints me and I love how affordable and good this brand is.  Can't wait to buy more products!

BACKPACK

Backpacks without doubt are coming back this year and I was searching for perfect backpack that will be beautiful and practical at the same time. I wanted bag that is simple yet not boring. In the beginning I was looking for black or gray color since these colors match everything and everyone. But then I saw this light pink color and I thought "why not?". Spring will come soon and the more colors the better. I love the size, style and gold zips, just perfect!

FAVORITE THINGS RIGHT NOW

My first favorite thing would be this vault of liquid lipsticks from NYX Cosmetics that I've been obsessed with lately. I wanted some of these lipsticks in full size but when I saw that this package has pretty good discount I knew - I need them all. There is no lipsticks I wouldn't like and I can't wait to create looks with them. I feel like I will try these until the end of the year, haha.

Other thing that is crazy good is this palette. It has been all over the internet and I fell in love with the colors and pigments. I wanted to try this so bad and waited for few month until it was back in stock. I feel like this is the first product I wanted so badly. This palette has great pigment, shadows blends very good and it can be used for everyday looks and night looks.

While creating Valentines' day makeup look today, I tried these eye brushes from BH Cosmetics. These are very affordable and I read very good reviews, therefore I was very excited to finally use them and I loved them. So soft and gentle for eyes, these brushes blend shadows perfectly!

Before creating makeup looks on my actual face, I love to make these face charts to see how makeup will look at the end.  It has been one of my favorite activities recently!

I got this mask as a gift and I wanted to try one from The Body Shop so finally I have a chance. I've used it few times and I love how pure it is and how it makes my skin smooth and healthy.

OMG, these sparkly chokers! I am obsessed! They look so stunning on neck and makes the whole look so chic.

One of my 2017 resolutions is to read books. And these are few I want to read until the end of 2017. I hope reading will be favorite calming activity through the whole year.
